Copied text lost formatting(fonts, styles, etc.) due to only text copied.
Cause:
When text is copied and pasted between applications Microsoft Office copies only the text -- not any of the fonts, type styles, or point sizes. When text is linked, the appearance of the text depends on the formatting on the destination application. When embedded text appears in a file, the appearance of the text depends on the formatting of the source program.
Solution:
Use the 'Paste Special...' command on the 'Edit' menu to paste text, and select 'Formatted Text (RTF)' to paste the formats.
1) Select the text to be copied.
2) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Copy'.
3) Switch to the destination application.
4) Position the cursor where the text is to be copied.
5) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Paste Special...'. (The Paste Special dialog box appears.)
6) Select the 'Paste' radio button.
7) Select 'Formatted Text (RTF)' from the 'As' list box.
8) Click 'OK'. (The text is pasted with the formats.)
